Hi, I'm Maddey.
I know what the day-to-day of a growing business actually looks like.
I have worked my way through business administration, operations management and into a Head of Operations role.
My experience covers finance operations, people operations and the day-to-day running of a growing business.
I have worked closely with directors, accountants, recruiters, lawyers, suppliers and delivery teams, making sure the different parts of the business actually work together.

I'm an operator,
not a specialist in everything.
I am not an accountant, employment lawyer, recruiter or IT consultant.
But I have spent years working alongside those specialists.
- Making sure the accountant gets what they need
- Making sure a new employee is ready to start
- Making sure information does not get lost
- Making sure an agreed process happens
- Making sure somebody owns the next step
- Making sure the different parts of the business work together
That's where Maddey fits.

Why Maddey?
Smaller businesses often reach a point where somebody needs to take proper ownership of operations, but hiring a full-time Head of Operations does not yet make sense.
Sometimes there is one problem that needs sorting.
Sometimes the founder needs somebody to take ongoing responsibility.
Sometimes everyone knows something is not working, but nobody is quite sure why.
Maddey exists to help with all three.
How I work
I am practical, curious and comfortable getting into the detail.
I do not assume that the first version of a problem I hear is necessarily the real problem.
I want to understand how things actually work, who owns what, where information comes from and where things tend to get stuck.
Then we can decide what needs to change.
